“Don’t just play on your phone, program it.” - Says the 15 year old, Lee Jun Shen

Lee Jun Shen is a talented 15-year-old coder from Telebort's Data Analysis with Python Program. Since joining Telebort in March 2019, he has learned Scratch, Advanced Web Development and now Python which has various packages including NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib. 

In addition to learning the technical skills needed for data analysis, Jun Shen also gained valuable experience in writing reports and detecting trends and patterns in data, which have helped him in decision making. 

He cites the dedicated and supportive instructors at Telebort as being a key part of his positive learning experience.

“I had a really very fantastic and marvellous experience in Telebort, partially due to the instructors. The instructors are really helpful and really really supportive as well. Whenever I face issues in my code, they don’t just spoon feed me. That’s really good because they actually train all of us to be a very good problem solvers and to solve problems on our own first.” - Jun Shen explained his gratitude towards the instructors in Telebort. 

Jun Shen has big plans for the future, hoping to create helpful websites and applications to solve daily problems for people around the world. He was inspired to code by a quote from Barack Obama: "Don't just play on your phone, program it." Among his favourite projects at Telebort were greeting cards he created for his friends and teachers, which were met with appreciation and emotion.

As he looks towards the future, Jun Shen is guided by a quote from Winston Churchill: "Success is not final, failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts."
